Climbing Kilimanjaro is tough right? Well, imagine climbing Africa’s tallest peak whilst also carrying a fridge on your back! That’s exactly what Mike Copeland AKA ‘The Fridge Man’ is planning to do in March. The fridge represents the burden of carrying around mental health issues and, fittingly, Mike is tackling this monster challenge in order to raise money for North Staffs Mind, who provide vital mental health support in Staffordshire, his home county.

This duo left the UK back in May 2023 and have been working their way across the world ever since! So far, they’ve cycled the Alps, cruised along the coast in Croatia and navigated the streets of Europe’s largest city in Istanbul. They’ve chosen to raise money for three charities - one local to each of their homes and a joint one too.

Jess and Charley ‘accidentally’ became the fastest female pair to row across the Atlantic Ocean in 2022, having never rowed before. This time, they’re planning to set a new record rowing from California to Hawaii. A journey only 31 teams have ever successfully completed. They’ll be dodging sharks and volcanoes to raise money for Shelter, one of the UK’s leading homelessness charities.

This summer holiday, he’ll be travelling around Europe and completing a different task set by children in each place, all to raise money for three impactful children’s charities.

More people have walked on the moon than have completed this challenge. Doctors Charlie and Adam will swim an official ice kilometre in both the Arctic circle and Antarctica wearing nothing more than a standard swimming costume. They’re splitting their donations two ways, with half supporting a local hospice which they work closely with, and the other half helping to protect the very oceans they’ll be swimming in.
